About Us

Helen Painter Group Realtors is Fort Worth’s oldest boutique firm with deep roots in the community. Its reputation is built on exceeding expectations in every aspect of Real Estate.

Who we are

Fort Worth families keep coming back to Helen Painter.

They trust us to help them make the right decision.

Since 1958.

Helen Painter Group Realtors is Fort Worth’s oldest independent real estate firm. The only firm that has been here long enough to have sold homes to three generations of the same families.

Our agents know these neighborhoods, these price patterns, and these buyers.  That history is what you draw on when you work with us.

When they tell you what your home is worth, or whether to move fast on an offer, they are drawing on decades of real transactions in this specific market. Not a national algorithm or a regional playbook.

Our office sits on Forest Park Boulevard, where it has been for decades. Not a national franchise. Not a Dallas firm that expanded west.

We are here because Fort Worth is home. If you are buying, selling, moving into your next home, downsizing, or relocating, this is where you start.

WE ARE DETERMINED TO BE TRAINED, TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN ALL AREAS, TO BE ALERT TO ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS. WE MUST BE THE BEST WE CAN BE.

Where It Started

Helen Painter started this company in 1958. She never met a stranger. She listened. She remembered names, circumstances, what mattered to each family. Fort Worth knew her, and she knew Fort Worth.
She became the city’s first female president of the Board of Realtors. She served on boards. She showed up. Real estate, to her, was community work.
Her daughter Ginny Holmes carried it forward. In 1961, Ginny launched Helen Painter Property Management, expanding what the firm could do for Fort Worth families.
Helen taught the way she ran the firm. At the kitchen table, with her granddaughter Cathy. How to listen. How to remove uncertainty from a process that can feel overwhelming. How to be the steady presence families need when they are making the biggest financial decisions of their lives.
Today, Cathy Taylor is President and Broker of Helen Painter Group Realtors. She grew up in this business and in this city. Fort Worth is not a market to her. It is home. Three generations. One belief. Trust our reputation. Count on our character.

What Makes Helen Painter Different

Before your home ever hits the market, our team has already walked it. Every week, Helen Painter agents walk new listings together before they go public. They price it. They flag staging issues. They share what they know. Multiple experienced eyes on every home before a single buyer sees it.

We call it the Helen Painter Preview. Few Fort Worth firms offer this level of service.

For sellers, your home hits the market better prepared and more accurately priced than if one agent made those calls alone. For buyers, your agent already knows what is coming before it goes live. In Fort Worth, well-priced homes move fast. Being first matters.

You work with one experienced agent, start to finish. Someone who knows your neighborhood, knows what buyers in this city are looking for right now, and picks up the phone when you call.

Selling Your Home in Fort Worth

Who has time to prep a home to sell while life is still moving?

Work does not stop. The kids still have practice. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you are supposed to figure out how to price, stage, photograph, and market the biggest asset you own.

That’s where we come in.

Our listing agents show up knowing your neighborhood and what Fort Worth buyers want right now. They know which updates move the needle and which ones are not worth your weekend.

They handle the prep, the pricing, the photography, and the presentation. When your home goes live, it is ready.

Our listings sold at an average of 97% of list price over the last year. Since 2020, that average has been 98%. That is not luck. It is preparation, accurate pricing, and agents who know this market.

We know these neighborhoods like we live in them. Because most of us do.

Tanglewood. Westover Hills. Ridglea Hills. Colonial Hills. Arlington Heights. Fairmount. Berkeley. Overton Park. Westcliff. Wedgewood. Monticello. South Hills. Ridgmar. Downtown Fort Worth. The Cultural District. The TCU area.

After closing, we are still here. Need a contractor six months later? Someone to handle a last-minute repair? Your Helen Painter agent is still your agent. That does not stop at the closing table.
