School Districts

School Districts

The school rating is a number. The neighborhood is where your child actually grows up.

You have pulled the ratings. You have the spreadsheet. You still do not know which Fort Worth neighborhood actually fits your family.

That gap is where we come in. Helen Painter agents have been helping Fort Worth families match neighborhoods to schools since 1958. When they tell you what a school is actually like, they are not reading a rating. They know.

Here is what we know about Fort Worth school districts and the neighborhoods that feed them.

Beyond the Number

The Rating Does Not Always Tell the Whole Story.

Fort Worth ISD test scores vary by campus. We are happy to walk you through the specifics for any neighborhood you are considering. That number reflects the full district across one of the largest cities in Texas.

What it does not reflect: Tanglewood Elementary consistently ranks among the top public elementary schools in Fort Worth. Overton Park Elementary and Westcliff Elementary are strong neighborhood schools. The individual school matters more than the district average.

Confirm Before You Offer

The Right School Starts With the Right Address.

School district lines are not always intuitive. Two homes on the same street can fall in different districts. Before you make an offer on any home where schools matter, your Helen Painter agent will confirm the exact school assignment for that address.

This is not something to sort out after closing. It is something to confirm before the offer goes in.

Tell us which schools matter to your family. We will tell you which streets put you inside those boundaries — and which ones look close on a map but land somewhere else.
