Azle

Welcome to Azle, Texas! This small city is 16 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth in the northwest corner of Tarrant County, where the town extends partly into Parker County. Azle is a suburban community with a rural quality of life. Eagle Mountain Lake is the Eastern border and Cross Timbers Golf Course is the western portion of the city. The town’s proximity to Fort Worth and its position as the “Gateway to Eagle Mountain Lake” make Azle a popular place to live. 

Fort Worth is just down the highway and offers the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, museums, Bass Performance Hall, theaters, and malls.  

Azle is a Home Rule city with a council and boards dedicated to protecting the quality of life in the city. It is truly a full-service municipality committed to caring for the community and serving the citizens. Horses and cattle still have room to roam and homebuyers have the choice of affordable, new starter homes to homes in excess of half a million dollars.

The City of Azle is served by the Azle Independent School District, and Azle is the home of the Azle Marching Green Pride marching band and the Fighting Azle Hornets. The Azle High School Math/Science and Journalism teams combined won the 2005 UIL State Academic Meet championship. In 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2013 the Marching Green Pride band of Azle  advanced to the State Marching competition in San Antonio.
