Welcome to Benbrook, Texas! Located in the southwestern corner of Tarrant County, Benbrook is a scenic suburb of Fort Worth. Large single family homes on multiple acres and more modest ranch houses line the streets of this quiet Texas town. With an average commute time of just 15 minutes, Benbrook residents are just a quick drive away from shopping, dining, and nightlife in Fort Worth.

In 2016, Benbrook received gold level recertification from the Texas Scenic City Certification program. The mission of the Scenic City Certification program is to support and recognize Texas municipalities that implement high-quality scenic standards for public roadways and public spaces, with the long-term goal of improving the image of all cities. At the time of recognition, Benbrook was one of 34 cities in Texas to receive Gold/Platinum status.

Outdoor recreation enthusiasts will be drawn to Benbrook’s many parks and the beautiful Benbrook Lake. The surrounding green spaces provide the perfect spot for residents to hike, bike, camp, hunt, boat, and fish. Or, play some golf at local Whitestone Golf Club.

Benbrook has received various awards and recognitions for exemplary municipal services. These awards highlight Benbrook’s commitment to exceed the expectations of its citizens. In 2017, Benbrook again received the Certificate for Planning Excellence from the Texas Chapter of American Planning Association. This award recognizes cities that demonstrate professional planning standards, increase awareness of professional planning, and aide in economic development and community image.

The Fort Worth Independent School District [FWISD] oversees Benbrook’s public schools. Two elementary schools, Benbrook Elementary and Westpark Elementary, are located in Benbrook. Waverly Park Elementary and Ridglea Hills Elementary in Fort Worth also serve portions of Benbrook. After completion of their elementary education, Benbrook children proceed to Benbrook Middle-High School. Western Hills High School is also in Benbrook and is attended by students living north of I-20.
